INSTITUTIONAL PROFILE
Entrepreneurship embedded directly into technical practice
WrenJos Academy exists for technical people who want to convert deep capability into commercially viable enterprises. Rather than teaching entrepreneurship as an abstract discipline, we embed entrepreneurial capability directly into technical practice.
Participants move from skill → solution → enterprise → market integration, supported at each step by buyers, financiers, regulators and research partners who are part of the same system.
The Academy operates as a convening platform, intentionally building and governing an Enterprise & Supplier Development (ESD)–centred ecosystem that links research, production, regulation, capital and markets.
“From Skill to Enterprise”
VISION
To become a leading African ecosystem for technical entrepreneurship, where artisans, engineers, and researchers translate skills and knowledge into sustainable enterprises that power industrial growth, inclusion, and innovation.
MISSION
- Equip technically skilled professionals with entrepreneurial, commercial, and governance capabilities
- Enable the commercialisation of applied research by systematically matching scientists and researchers with entrepreneurs
- Build and steward multi-actor enterprise ecosystems that accelerate Enterprise & Supplier Development
- Reduce the failure rate of technical enterprises by embedding them within real markets, real capital, and real regulatory pathways
HOW WE WORK
Three commitments that shape every programme
Neutral orchestration
We convene capital, policy, research and markets without acting as a gatekeeper to any of them.
Market realism
Every programme is anchored to actual demand, real procurement standards and workable regulatory pathways.
Enterprise durability
Success is measured by enterprises that survive, scale and compete — not by attendance numbers.
